Government Data Request Policy

This policy describes how Multitude Media, LLC, doing business as "Skryber" ("Skryber", "we", "us"), handles requests from government agencies, law enforcement, and other public authorities for personal data or personal information of our users, including any data we receive from third-party platforms (such as Meta) on a user's behalf.
1. Legality Review
Every request from a public authority is reviewed before any response is made. We verify that the request is legally valid, properly issued under an applicable law or legal process, correctly scoped to our jurisdiction, and specific about the data sought. Requests that do not meet these requirements are rejected or returned for correction. Where appropriate, we consult outside legal counsel.
2. Challenging Unlawful or Overbroad Requests
If we determine that a request is unlawful, overbroad, vague, or otherwise deficient, we will challenge it. That includes seeking to narrow its scope, requiring the authority to obtain proper legal process, and, where warranted, contesting the request through available legal channels before producing any data.
3. Data Minimization
When a request is valid and we are required to respond, we disclose only the minimum information necessary to comply with the specific demand — never full account exports where a narrower response satisfies the request, and never categories of data that were not explicitly and lawfully demanded.
4. Documentation
We maintain an internal record of every public-authority request we receive, including the requesting authority, the legal basis asserted, our legality assessment and reasoning, any challenge we raised, the individuals involved in the decision, and exactly what data (if any) was disclosed and when.
5. User Notice
Unless we are legally prohibited from doing so, we make reasonable efforts to notify affected users before disclosing their data in response to a public-authority request, so they have an opportunity to object through their own counsel.
6. National Security Requests
As of the date above, Skryber has not received, and has not responded to, any national security requests for user personal data.
